About us
On behalf of the German Federal Government, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (German Sustainable Development Cooperation) advises the Mexican government and other decision-makers and partners on various issues.

The main objectives of GIZ are to protect public and global environmental assets and to promote sustainable development through thematic focuses such as: the protection and sustainable use of biodiversity; the promotion of good governance and the strengthening of civil society and the rule of law; environmentally friendly urban and industrial development; sustainable energy and climate protection.

GIZ Mexico works hand in hand with our partners and counterparts in multi-stakeholder capacity building, and in strengthening public policies and developing financial mechanisms that promote and strengthen climate action in terms of climate change adaptation and mitigation measures, as well as towards a just and inclusive energy transition.
